The Support Staffordshire Volunteering Team are looking for Volunteer Advisors to join us in the South Staffordshire and East Staffordshire areas.
This varied and rewarding volunteer role involves supporting potential volunteers to find a suitable voluntary placement. You’ll get the chance to help multiple people each week and also benefit organisations across the county.
Having previous experience as a volunteer would be great, but more importantly having a friendly, positive and helpful character is essential. Basic IT skills will be required, but full training and support will be provided to help you.
These roles can be home based and/or based in a central location – the Codsall Hub for the South Staffordshire volunteer or at our Burton Upon Trent office for the East Staffordshire Volunteer.
Key Tasks may involve:
- To answer enquiries from new volunteers.
- Advise new volunteers of the opportunities available to them
- Refer potential volunteers to local organisations.
- Carry out follow-ups with both volunteers and organisations to track the progress of the referrals and deal with any arising issues.
You’ll join our team of volunteers and work alongside our staff to help give support to volunteers and organisations. Whilst this is an advisory role, there is also a focus on administrative tasks, so it could potentially suit someone looking to build up their career skills in this area.
