The Voluntary Car Scheme for Lichfield and Cannock Chase has been supporting the local community for many years to attend medial appointments. Based in Burntwood, they rely on volunteer drivers to use their own cars to take people to health-related appointments. This is a lifeline to many people who would otherwise be unable to attend these appointments.
They are currently recruiting for another 10 volunteer drivers – would you be able to help? A mileage rate for fuel is paid to the driver and the role is very flexible. The number of journeys undertaken is variable depending on the drivers availability. Drivers will be required to undertake a DBS check.
