The Brewood and District Voluntary Car Scheme provides transport to clinics, hospital and similar medical appointments at a modest charge to the community, enabling them to attend appointments that they otherwise may not be able to attend.
Demand for their services is growing and more volunteer drivers are needed to join the existing team that covers Brewood, Coven, Coven Heath, Wheaton Aston, Calf Heath, Bishops Wood, Blymhill, Weston Under Lizard, Lapley, Stretton and Hatherton.
The role is flexible to fit around your other commitments and highly rewarding. Drivers use their own car but are paid a mileage rate to cover their fuel costs. The role will require a DBS check, paid for by the scheme.
