Edgar E Lawley Foundation

Grants are available for UK-registered charities for projects that benefit the old, young and disabled.

The next deadline for applications is 31 October 2024.

The scheme is intended to support small charities that engage in community projects and run projects for the benefit of disadvantaged groups. In particular, the Foundation would like to fund projects relating to medicine, to necessitous elderly persons, and to educational purposes with reference to the arts, commerce and industry.

Approximately £200,000 is normally available per annum. Grants tend to be awarded in the region of £2000.

UK registered charities and not-for-profit organisations are eligible to apply.

The Foundation’s preference is to award unrestricted grants to smaller charities and not for profit organisations.

The Foundation’s grants are normally wholly unrestricted to allow grantees maximum flexibility.

In particular, the programme wishes to support initiatives with the following themes:

  • Hospices.
  • Children and Young People.
  • Elderly.
  • Community.
  • Disabled.
  • Medical, Research and other Miscellaneous Projects.

The next deadline for applications is 31 October 2024.

Applicants are required to complete an online application form via the Foundation’s website.
