Southwest Staffordshire Citizens’ Advice 85th Birthday

Our Stafford office was the first bureau (as it was known then) to open in Staffordshire in November 1939. The very first Citizens Advice opened on 4th September 1939 in response to the outbreak of war.  It was set up as a new nationwide advisory service which would help people navigate the uncertainty, chaos and challenges of life during wartime.  We’ve been helping people find a way forward since then, working on the issues that affect every single one of us.

Our 85th birthday provides a great opportunity for us to engage with potential supporters, raise awareness that we are a charity, promote the fantastic work we do for our local communities and fundraise to ensure we’re around for the next 85 years

We have attached a celebration newsletter for your information.  Please feel free to share this with others in your network and get in touch with us if you would like any further information.
