The Leek Building Society Charitable Foundation was established by Leek Building Society in 2021. Grants are provided and independently administered by the Charitable Foundation.
Grants of up to a maximum of £5,000 are available.
Grants can be used as match funding towards 50% of the total cost.
Grants are available to charities and community organisations based in Staffordshire, located within a ten mile radius of a Leek Building Society branch or the Head Office in Leek. A list of all the branch locations is available on the Foundation website.
Branch locations include, Leek, Uttoxeter, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Cheadle and Hanley.
Applicants do not need to be a member of the Leek Building Society to apply.
Grants are available for projects that:
- Prevent or relieve poverty.
- Provide welfare advice.
- Improve community facilities (including the development of green spaces).
- Provide healthy food to vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
- Develop digital inclusion.
- Support local people attempting to return to employment.
How To Apply
Applications can be submitted at anytime and are considered at trustee meetings held quarterly.
The trustees typically meet in January, April, July and October each year. Decisions are communicated in writing and may take up to three months.
