The Volunteering for Health project is looking at volunteering within the NHS and ways in which volunteering can be increased and provide more meaningful support to our local NHS services.
As part of this, we need to find out what volunteering roles there are currently available, where, what they do, where volunteering roles could be added, and much more. This is where we need some help, and we’re looking for volunteer Research and Engagement Champions to support us.
Our Research and Engagement Champions will play a vital role in strengthening connections across our local NHS services, linking staff, volunteers, patients, and carers to the heart of the Volunteering for Health programme.
What a Champion will do:
- Gather Insight: Capture real-world experiences through surveys, case studies, and conversations.
- Facilitate Engagement: Lead focus groups and discussions to explore what’s working and what could be better.
- Promote Impact: Actively share the programme’s goals, successes, and opportunities for involvement.
Why It Matters:
The feedback and data collected by our Champions will help us:
- Understand the lived experiences of NHS staff, volunteers, patients, and carers.
- Identify strengths and areas for improvement in volunteering practices.
- Shape future strategies to enhance volunteer engagement and outcomes across our Health and Care System.
Together, we’re building a more responsive, inclusive, and impactful volunteering culture.
