Build A Business with Creative Purpose

Support Staffordshire is organising three free events aimed at individuals interested in starting or expanding a community group, social enterprise, or formal community business. These events will focus on the creative, environmental, and care sectors.

The first event will take place in Leek at The Foxlowe Art Centre next Wednesday, October 30th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Speaker Joe Mathews from Bolton Gate Arts will discuss how he transformed a simple idea into a flourishing creative arts business. While focusing on theatre, his venture has expanded to include a café, markets, and events. He will share the highlights of his journey and insights into what he would have done differently, the challenges he encountered, and what strategies worked best for the community.

Sarah Roberts is the Social Economy Development Officer at Support Staffordshire. She can advise and assist anyone planning a new project or looking to develop and grow an existing one. Outside Arts will also be on hand to tell you about their fantastic work in the Moorlands and how you can get involved. Additionally, Sarah is collaborating with Business Enterprise Support, which can help those interested in pursuing a commercial route.
