Autism and Maths Awareness Training Session

Delivered by Staffordshire Adults Autistic Society (SAAS) in partnership with Support Staffordshire this session will help you to develop an understanding of this complex condition, its main areas of difficulty, the difficulties it can cause with developing maths skills and give you some ideas of how to overcome them. 

Learning Outcomes

• Define Autism
• Explain the difficulties associated with the condition and how they can impact upon maths skills
• Analyse other impacts of those difficulties
• Apply new understanding to everyday scenarios
• Explore how to support someone with autism in developing their maths
• Locate further opportunities for learning, with a maths focus
