Chrysalis Trust

Grants are available for UK registered charities with projects that are less popular and harder to fund that focus on the trust’s priorities of relieving poverty and disability and providing access to shelter, education, healthcare and water.

The funding is focused on less popular and harder to fund projects and with a spread of funding between local (North-East England), National (providing benefit across the UK) and International projects.

The funding is for charities whose work addresses the Trust’s priorities of:

  • Relieving poverty and disability.
  • Providing access to shelter, education, healthcare and water.

Funding is at the discretion of the Trustees.

Grants range from less than £1,000 to up to £10,000 with a few exceptional grants of more than £10,000.

UK charities registered with the Charities Commissions of England & Wales or Northern Ireland or the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) may apply.

Applicants need to demonstrate that they provide public benefit.

The grants can be used for both capital projects and core funding.

How To Apply

There are two funding rounds per year.

The deadline for applications is midnight on 15 May and 15 December.

Applications that pass an agreed preliminary screening process are considered at a meeting of the Board of Trustees twice a year – usually in January and June
