Grants are available for not-for-profit organisations to support ex-Service men or women and their families as they make the transition to civilian life within the UK.
The funding is intended to support vulnerable ex-serving members of the Armed Forces and their families in their transition to civilian life in the UK. It funds work across seven interconnecting outcome areas:
- Housing
- Employment
- Health
- Finance
- Criminal justice
- Relationships
- Enabler
Grants are available to support projects:
- Where the proposed outcomes meet an identified need and help achieve FiMT’s Change Model.
- With a clear need which is relevant to FiMT’s Change Model.
- With strong potential to grow or to provide opportunities for replication.
- Which can bring about sustainable change.
Eligible work should fit within one of the following seven programme areas:
There is a two-stage application process:
- Applicants must first submit an initial enquiry using the online form on the FiMT website. This should include a cover letter and a project outline, which must be uploaded as separate documents.
- Organisations whose application meet the Trust’s current objectives and priorities will be asked to complete a full application.
The Trust aims to respond to the initial application within three months of receipt.
