Gartmore Riding School Job Role

Would you like to join our Staff team at Gartmore Riding School?

What we can offer:

We are looking for Part-time Staff to carry out general Stable and Yard duties (including mucking out, feeding, watering and keeping the Yard clean and safe) and to interact with our riders, many of whom have a range of additional challenges and needs.  Our aim is to ensure that everyone who visits us had a memorable and enjoyable experience and our staff help us to do that.

We have Weekday and Weekend positions available. The hours we can offer are Early Shifts (7am until 2pm) and Afternoons/Early Evenings (2pm until 6.30pm). There may need to be some flexibility around the hours, dependent on the needs of the business, our horses and riders. We pay according to National guidelines. We also provide training via the Riding for the Disabled Association and the British Horse Society.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for people who 16 or over, are friendly, professional, reliable, empathetic, well-motivated and with a ‘can do’ approach to working outdoors. You will need a passion for people and animals. You will need to be able to travel independently as we are in the beautiful village of Hammerwich (near Burntwood). There is limited Public Transport to us, so you would need to be able to make your own way here or have a reliable lift into work.

How do I apply?

Please apply directly to Gartmore Riding School via our email address which is: [email protected]. Please send us a CV and a covering letter in which you tell us about your suitability for the role. Your letter should also tell us which shifts you are interested in (Early morning or Afternoons/Early evenings, weekday or weekends). We will endeavour to respond to all those who apply to us.

If you are successful and come and join our team, we will need to carry out a DBS check for you (as you will be working with Children and Vulnerable Adults), and we will also request two references for you.

Deadline: Midday, 29th February 2024
