Every year, the amazing contribution of volunteers is celebrated in the first week of June. This year is extra special as it is the 40th year of Volunteers’ Week!
Starting in 1984, Volunteers have been celebrated at events, open days, parties, in person, virtually and by post to say a huge THANK YOU for all of the incredible work that they do.
Most Volunteers like to quietly get on with what they do best and don’t seek the limelight, so this is our chance to seek them out and say a very heartfelt thank you for all that they do. Do you know someone who volunteers? Give them a ‘Thank You!’ when you can, and if the volunteer is you, then a very big THANK YOU to you too!
There’s lots of resources on the Volunteers Week website here Volunteers’ Week and we’ll be posting articles throughout the week to celebrate volunteering. If you’re interested in volunteering, you can have a look at local roles available here Volunteers – Support Staffordshire
