Cat-lovers across Staffordshire are being urged to get in touch with their local Cats Protection if they have time to spare to help ensure the charity continues to be able to help cats in need.
Volunteer-run Cats Protection Lichfield & Tamworth has been based in the area for over 20 years, having formed in 2001. However, it has had to pause its activities after core team members needed to scale-back their volunteering or retire. The remaining volunteers are now seeking fellow cat fans who have skills to share and are available to join their team.
Potential volunteers are needed to fill a range of roles including branch, welfare and fundraising team leaders along with a volunteer to support with recruitment. Once the core roles are covered, the team will be able to invite additional fosterers to join them.
With the variety of roles available, the charity is keen to hear from anybody with skills and interest as it is likely there will be a role to suit now or in the future. If you feel ‘this is the role for me-ow’ you can view the role descriptions and apply here:
