Staffordshire Director of Health & Care, Dr Richard Harling has produced the latest Director of Public Health Report, “As Time Goes By: Ageing In Staffordshire”
The report sets out the likely trajectory of the ageing population in Staffordshire and the impact that this will have, in terms of increasing demand for services, and the number of people available to fill Health and Care jobs, which is unlikely to grow in line with demand.
“The report also makes some suggestions about how we can act to mitigate the impact of ageing, with a focus on prevention, changing how we do things and increasing our use of digital tools to mitigate the impacts of ageing. This does require organisations to plan and act for the future and for this reason I hope that this report prompts local discussion amongst our partners.“
