Thinking about being a Trustee? It’s great way to support your local community and we have a very rewarding role available in South Staffordshire at the moment that may suit YOU!
Citizens Advice Staffordshire South West (CASSW) has been part of the local community since 1939 and has offices in Stafford, Cannock, Rugeley, Stone and Codsall. They provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone and campaign to improve the policies that affect people’s lives. They’re an independent charity and part of the national Citizens Advice network.
Trustees play a vital role in making sure that Citizens Advice Staffordshire South West (CASSW) achieves its core purpose. They oversee the overall management and administration of the charity. They also ensure that CASSW has a clear strategy and that our work and goals are in line with our vision. Just as importantly, they support and challenge the executive team to enable CASSW to grow and thrive, and through this, achieve its mission.
They are seeking someone who is ambitious, forward-thinking and has effective communication skills to join their Trustees. The ideal person will bring innovative ideas, enthusiasm and excellent judgement to help lead the organisation. Understanding of, and empathy with, the types of issues faced by our clients is also important. Trustees usually meet 4 times a year in the evening although you may need to work on key projects over the year that would involve more time. This is an unpaid role but all reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
