Trustee Roles available in Stafford & District

Thinking about being a Trustee?  It’s great way to support your local community and we have some  roles available in Stafford District at the moment that may suit YOU!

Stafford North End Community Association are a group of volunteers who maintain the Stafford North End Community Centre which provides recreation and leisure activities for their local community.  The facilities are available for both private hire and for community groups, and provide a well needed meeting place for the local community.  The trustees are looking for a Treasurer and a Secretary to join them to assist their management of the community centre.  Could this be you?

The Treasurer will work with the Chair of the Trustees to help manage the day to day finances, assist with planning budgets for repairs and maintenance, help with grant funding and preparing annual accounts in conjunction with an external auditor.

The Secretary role involves taking minutes at the Trustees meetings, maintaining membership records and liaising with the Chair of the Trustees, Treasurer, Hall Manager and Bookings Manager.

The Trustees meet 5 times per year, plus at an AGM, usually in the early evenings, so this is a great opportunity to volunteer around any existing work commitments, whilst also giving back to your local community!  If you’re interested in more information, please have a look at the role descriptions here:

Community Link Stafford & District is a registered charity with wheelchair-accessible vehicles providing community transport services in the Stafford area. Their mission is to help anyone who has difficulty using public transport to get out and about.

Transport can be booked  for medical appointments, shopping trips, to meet friends and family, and even to travel to their holiday destination.  As a registered charity, fares are always kept as low as possible.

The volunteers at Community Link Stafford & District don’t just provide a vital transport service, they are also helping to reduce isolation and loneliness for vulnerable members of our community.

They currently need another Trustee to join them – could this be you?

As a Trustee of Community Link you will be helping to organise and direct the provision of this invaluable community transport.  No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to help, and full training will be provided.  The Trustees meet every 2 months at a daytime meeting usually on Tuesdays/Wednesdays.  If you’d like to find out more, please look at the role description here  DetailsForSearch – VMS (vcconnectsystem.org.uk)
