Thinking about being a Trustee? It’s great way to support your local community and we have a role available in the Tean area that may suit YOU!
Checkley Community Centre need a Treasurer to help their small but effective management team.
Checkley Community Centre is in the small, rural village of Checkley, Near Tean, in the Staffordshire Moorlands. The hall was opened in 1984 and stands in a prominent position at the top of the village.
They cater for all types of events, including Weddings, Birthday parties, Barn Dances and has a stage, bar, and kitchen facilities.
The facilities are available for both private hire and for community groups, and provide a well needed meeting place for the local community. The trustees are looking for a Treasurer to join them to assist their management of the community centre. Could this be you?
The Treasurer will work with the Chair of the Trustees to help manage the day-to-day finances, assist with planning budgets for repairs and maintenance, help with grant funding and preparing annual accounts in conjunction with an external auditor.
If you think you can help with this important role, or any other vacancies within the Staffordshire Moorlands please contact our Staffordshire Moorlands Volunteering 4 All Officer, Verity Hilton, for an informal chat via email at [email protected] or by calling 07714 173680.
