We’re in the middle of Volunteers’ Week, and it feels like the right moment to reflect on something that sits at the heart of everything Support Staffordshire does.
Volunteering is not a footnote to community life in Staffordshire – it is central to it. The thousands of people across our county who give their time, skills and energy to support others are the reason so many local organisations are able to do what they do. This week is an opportunity to name that contribution clearly and to say, without reservation, thank you.
June is also Pride Month. At Support Staffordshire, equity, diversity and inclusion are not aspirations we hold at arm’s length – they are commitments we work on actively, as an organisation and as a sector. Everyone who volunteers, works with us, or is supported by the communities we serve should feel valued and included. Pride Month is a reminder of why that work matters and why it must continue.
