Local Help My Way

Local Help My Way supports people who want to provide high-quality, personalised care and support within their local community. Most micro providers delivering regulated personal care are self-employed individuals.

This project enables people receiving support to choose who provides their care and, where appropriate, employ them directly through a private arrangement, helping to maintain choice, continuity and independence.

For non-regulated care and support services, we also welcome small businesses, Community Interest Companies (CICs), charities and other not-for-profit organisations, including Support Staffordshire members, provided they have 10 or fewer people working within the organisation. These organisations may offer services such as companionship, home help, domestic cleaning, gardening, shopping, transport, wellbeing activities, technology support and other practical community services.

Whether you're an experienced care professional, looking for a new career, or already running a small community organisation, Local Help My Way can help you grow your services. We provide free start-up advice, mentoring, training, guidance on self-employment, safeguarding, policies, marketing and business development, together with ongoing support, networking opportunities and promotion through our website. Our aim is to build a strong network of trusted local providers, increasing choice for people across Staffordshire while supporting small businesses and community organisations to thrive.
