Cancer Champions: Talk Cancer Online Workshop

This is the first of two workshops that will train you to become a Cancer Champion. As a Cancer Champion helping to promote health and wellbeing in your community, you will take top tips and best practice back to your community and help to improve awareness around cancer screening and early diagnosis.

Nurse trainers from Cancer Research UK will deliver the Talk Cancer workshop. It will equip and empower you to raise cancer awareness in your community by:

• Increasing your knowledge of key messages around reducing your risk of cancer, the national cancer screening programmes, and spotting cancer early
• Building your confidence to talk to the public about cancer
• Helping you to encourage people to make healthy changes, access local services and visit their GP promptly with any concerns
