Friends of Bilbrook Repair Cafes 2024

And with the new year come new resolutions, and why not have yours be to Volunteer this year? If it is, let us at Support Staffordshire help you find a role you\’ll enjoy! Take a look at a short list of groups looking for help below!

Healthwatch Staffordshire, Enter and View Volunteer

You’ll be helping to make life better for people by using the insight to make tangible differences to health and care services. You’ll meet a wide range of people who rely on health and care services. You’ll gain valuable experience which may support your job aspirations. You’ll meet new people, be part of the Healthwatch team who act as the public champion for health and care and make a difference for your local community.

Citizens Advice South East Staffordshire, Advice Assistant / Reception Volunteer

What will you do? ● Complete an introduction to Citizens Advice and training for your role. ● Welcome all clients and other visitors to the local Citizens Advice. ● Explain to the client how long they might be waiting and what will happen and give out a form for clients to fill in. ● Type up information from the client form onto a database. ● Answer the telephone, reply to emails and post.

Supporting our community engagement officer by helping at events, setting up, covering stalls, talking to the public about the work we do at Pathway

Victim Support (Staffordshire), ASB Volunteer

– Contacting and meeting ASB (Antisocial Behaviour) victims, either over the phone, at the victim’s home or another mutually agreed location and clearly explaining the role of Victim Support and empowering victims to overcome the emotional, psychological and practical effects of ASB.
– Helping people explore how their experience of ASB has affected their lives and identifying ways to enable them to recover from the experience, by helping people to identify their individual needs and helping them to choose options they feel are right for them.

Kendall & Wall Charitable Trust, Minibus driver

Kendall and Wall is a Lichfield-based charity taking elderly and infirm local residents on day trips to local venues e.g. garden centres, restaurants, canal boat trips and many more using our small fleet of minibuses.

Kendall and Wall is a Lichfield-based charity taking elderly and infirm local residents on day trips to local venues e.g. garden centres, restaurants, canal boat trips and many more using our small fleet of minibuses. Drivers should have a clean driving license with a D1 category on their license.

Tamworth District Scout Council, Deputy Treasurer/Book-Keeper

The first thing to say is that this role is open to anyone with the required attributes, whether you are already in Scouts or not. No Scouting experience is necessary.
