This year’s Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent COP Festival brought people together at King’s Hall for a fun, inspiring and interactive day centred on the future we want to build across our communities.
More than 200 people attended, including local residents, community groups, charities, schools, councils and purpose-driven organisations from across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. With more than 60 school students taking part, the day created a real mix of ages, perspectives and ideas.
There was plenty to explore, with around 30 activity stalls and hands-on experiences linked to nature, food, energy and circular economy. From seed-planting and creative activities to mascots, a stiltwalker, Rentabeast and Staffordshire Community Energy’s Energy Efficient House Demo, the Festival was designed to spark curiosity, conversation and new connections.
As well as enjoying the activities, people had the chance to meet organisations, discover local projects and join discussion circles focused on the opportunities and challenges facing our area.
The Festival was made possible thanks to the support of Stoke-on-Trent City Council, including the use of King’s Hall, alongside headline sponsors Cosy and Woolcool, and supporting sponsors Brown Recycling and Zephi.
The conversation does not stop with the Festival. Through the Staffordshire Green Network, there are more opportunities to stay involved throughout the year via Green Conversations and other activity linked to the Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent COP.
