Celebrating Staffordshire Day

Staffordshire Day is a chance to celebrate what makes our county distinctive – not just its places and history, but the people and communities who shape everyday life here.

Across Staffordshire, voluntary and community organisations play a vital role in supporting residents, responding to local challenges and creating spaces where people feel connected. Much of this work happens quietly, rooted in relationships and local knowledge, but its impact is felt widely.

It reminds us that strength doesn’t only come from national systems or big ideas, but from local action, informed by lived experience. From neighbourhood projects and community groups to social enterprises and charities, Staffordshire’s VCSE sector reflects the Power of Local in practice – flexible, responsive and deeply embedded in place.

At Support Staffordshire, our role is to champion that work and help local organisations thrive. We exist to support the people who support their communities, because when local organisations are valued and sustained, everyone benefits.

This Staffordshire Day, we’re encouraging organisations, partners and residents to take a moment to recognise what’s working locally, share stories of impact and celebrate the collective contribution being made across the county.

Together, we can continue to empower the people and organisations that ensure Staffordshire’s communities remain strong, connected and resilient.
