Community Ride Project CIC is delighted to announce two FREE ladies only mountain bike confidence courses, thanks to funding from Support Staffordshire’s Little Sparks Fund.
Whether you’ve recently started riding, have lost confidence, or simply want to enjoy your bike more, these sessions are designed to provide a welcoming, supportive environment where you can learn, laugh and build confidence alongside other women.
The courses will be delivered by our trusted coaching partner, SkillsLoop LTD, whose experienced coaches have helped hundreds of riders of all abilities develop their confidence and skills on the trails.
A Friendly, Relaxed Approach
These sessions aren’t about racing or keeping up with everyone else.
They’re about giving women the opportunity to learn at their own pace, ask questions, overcome those little worries that often hold riders back and, most importantly, enjoy being out on the trails with like-minded people.
Throughout the three-hour sessions we’ll cover the fundamental techniques that make riding feel easier and more controlled, including:
- Body position and balance.
- Cornering confidence.
- Braking techniques.
- Riding over roots, rocks and uneven terrain.
- Trail awareness and line choice.
- Building confidence through fun, progressive coaching.
No pressure. No judgement. Just plenty of encouragement, support and smiles along the way.
Who Can Take Part?
The sessions are open to women aged 18+ living in Tamworth and the surrounding Staffordshire area.
Places are limited to ensure everyone receives plenty of individual coaching and support.
If you’ve ever thought:
“I’d love to be more confident on my bike.”
“I’m nervous about riding with others.”
“I just don’t know where to start.”
Then these sessions have been created for you.
Making Cycling More Accessible
Community Ride Project CIC exists to remove barriers that stop people enjoying cycling.
Thanks to our partnership with British Cycling, bikes can also be provided for participants who don’t currently own one, helping even more women experience the physical and mental wellbeing benefits that cycling can offer.
This project forms part of our wider mission to create healthier, happier and better-connected communities through cycling, outdoor activity and volunteering.
Course Dates
Friday 14th August
Friday 18th September
Both sessions take place at Cannock Chase and last approximately three hours.
Places are free but must be booked in advance via our EventBright link on our website www.communityrideprojectcic.co.uk
We’d like to thank Support Staffordshire for making these sessions possible through the Little Sparks Fund. Their support is helping us remove barriers to participation and give more women the confidence to discover just how enjoyable mountain biking can be.
We can’t wait to welcome you onto the trails!
