Grants are available for charitable organisations to support events, activities and projects that help groups of 10 or more people who have had a life changing illness, accident, or medical condition.
The Frenkel Topping Charitable Foundation was founded in 2015 by Frenkel Topping, an independent financial adviser specialising in providing advice and expert services to those seeking damages for personal injury and medical negligence.
“The Foundation provides a much-needed lifeline for those who have had a severe personal injury, illness, or medical condition but are facing financial difficulties or were unable to secure other financial support for the much-needed aids, equipment or therapies. With a focus on enhancing life after a life-changing injury. illness or medical condition, the Foundation gives particular focus to assistance that supports mental, as well as physical, health and well being.”
Objectives of Fund
The funding is for local community groups, registered charities, or schools working with individuals and their families who have had a life changing accident, illness or medical condition.
Eligible projects will be:
- For at least 10 people
- Free for people to attend (or there is a small nominal charge), or the event is for non-profit
- For people who have had a life changing illness, accident or medical condition.
Who Can Apply
Applications will be considered from:
- Charities acting on behalf of families or individual who have suffered severe personal injury or suffered from a medical condition as a result of an illness or a clinical accident/outcome.
- Schools or organisations that works with individuals as above.
The following are not eligible for funding:
- Projects or group events eligible for public funding
- Applicants who are able to support the event themselves
- The promotion or involvement of any religious or political aspects
- Staff funding, salary costs or employment related expenses
- Marketing.
Eligible Expenditure
The funding can be used for projects that support at least 10 people with:
- Aids or equipment for event
- Food or refreshments
- Entry tickets to theme parks, cinema, theatres and other recreational activities
