Growing Volunteering in Newcastle and the Staffordshire Moorlands

Our Volunteering Team is currently dealing with more volunteering requests in the North of the county than we have had for quite a while, and we’d love some volunteers to join our team as Volunteer Advisors to help.

Volunteer Advisors are volunteers who support other volunteers to find a volunteering role that suits them. Some volunteers know exactly what they want to do, and others need a little more support to find the right thing that suits their skills, availability and passions. It’s a lovely role for anyone who likes to help people, good at communicating and having a good chat, and who likes connecting people. Finding the right role for someone and seeing how they benefit from that is always a real thrill. There’s a little bit of detective work and problem solving involved at times, but always lots of support from the Volunteering Team.

If you’re familiar with either the Newcastle Under Lyme District or the Staffordshire Moorlands District and you think that this could be a role for you, then we’d love to hear from you! The full details of the roles can be found on our Volunteering Platform here Newcastle Under Lyme and Staffordshire Moorlands or you can get in touch with us via our email: volunteering@supportstaffordshire.org.uk
