Applications are welcomed from voluntary organisations working with young people.
The Health Lottery Foundation distributes money raised by The Health Lottery players. A minimum of 20% of every lottery draw ticket and online scratch card purchased goes towards good causes. From 23 January 2025, The Health Lottery will operate on behalf of The Health Lottery Foundation. The Foundation is responsible for making sure that the money flows into communities in a way that makes a real difference to people’s lives.
There will be a total of £500,000 for the June 2025 youth round and it is anticipated that between 20 and 30 grants will be awarded.
Who Can Apply
Applications will be considered from non-profit-making voluntary sector organisations who are working to improve the health and wellbeing of people in their local community.
Organisations with the following legal structures may apply:
- Registered charities
- Community Interest Companies (CICs)
- Community groups, such as local clubs and associations (for example, youth groups and environmental clubs)
- Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs)
- Social enterprises, businesses with a social or environmental purpose
- Faith-based organisations.
The funding is for projects that address at least one of the following themes:
Young people – OPEN for applications from 16 June to 27 June 2025.
- Organisations operating in communities across Britain that are providing vital youth services at grassroots level.
- Consideration to supporting:
- Youth centres or outreach services that offer activities, mentoring or counselling to those that need it.
- Specialist support for children and young disabled people.
- Places that give children someone they can talk to, when they’re struggling to cope.
- Programmes that promote wellbeing and encourage engagement between young people and nature.
- Particular interest in projects improving the health, wellbeing and happiness of young people and children in the local community.
The first application round is for projects that work with young people to improve their health and well being.
Applications will be accepted from 16 June to 27 June 2025 (17:00). The online application form is now available on the Health Lottery Foundation website.
Applications for other themes are expected to open later in 2025, and will be around the following project themes::
- Chronic disease
- Disability inequity
- Healthcare IT
- Health disparity
- Preventative care
