McCarthy Stone Foundation – Festive Connections

Applications are accepted from 23 September 2026 to 15 October 2026 (17:00) with decisions by 30 October 2026.

The programme supports organisations in Britain who provide projects to connect older people over the festive period (between 1 December and 2 January).

Grants are available for charities and community groups in Britain bringing together people over 65 at Christmas.

The funding is for organisations in Britain that are running activities between 1 December 2026 and 2 January 2027 that create opportunities for people aged 65 and over to come together, socialise and enjoy some festive cheer.

The funding is intended to:

  • Help people feel connected, included and remembered, rather than simply providing a gift or food parcel.
  • Reach communities where there is a greater level of need, so priority will be given to applications demonstrating a clear need among the people and communities they support. When all other factors are equal, organisations working in areas with higher levels of deprivation affecting older people will be prioritised.

Value Notes

This year, the funding pot is £38,000 and it is expected that more than 50 grants will be awarded.
