South Staffordshire Local Village Transport urgently seeking support!

The wonderful team at South Staffordshire Local Village Transport operate two adapted minibuses which take people to and from local groups, which they would not be able to attend without this valuable transport. They’ve been operating for over 40 years and their ‘Little Yellow Buses’ are a well known sight around the South Staffs area.

To be able to continue their essential service to the community, this registered charity are in desperate need of people to join them – could you help? They are urgently seeking:

  • Volunteer Drivers to drive the Little Yellow Buses – driving licence essential
  • Trustees to join the existing team and to help guide and safeguard the future of the group. No experience needed, just a willingness to help and support the group.
  • Chairperson to lead the group with the support of the Trustee team. Again, no experience needed, but being a proactive and supportive person would be great.

Without more support this group will sadly close, which will be a great shame as it is very much relied upon by those that use it as they have no other alternative transport. Consequently the groups that have their attendees travel to them on the Little Yellow Bus may also close as if their attendees can’t continue to get to their groups, they may not have enough members to continue.
