The People’s Emergency Briefing is coming to Uttoxeter, offering local residents the opportunity to hear the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis from some of the UK’s leading scientists and experts. This powerful 50-minute film explores how environmental change is already affecting our daily lives, from food security and public health to extreme weather events and the rising cost of living.
The film features contributions from well-known environmental campaigner and broadcaster Chris Packham and entrepreneur and sustainability advocate Deborah Meaden, alongside a range of leading experts who explain the challenges our communities face and the actions that can help create a more sustainable future.
This free community screening is an opportunity to learn more about the issues affecting people across Staffordshire and beyond, connect with others who are interested in making a difference, and take part in important conversations about the future of our environment. Whether you are already passionate about climate action or simply want to better understand the challenges ahead, The People’s Emergency Briefing provides an engaging and accessible introduction to some of the most important topics facing society today.
Following the screening, attendees will have the opportunity to reflect on the issues raised, discuss local environmental challenges, and explore how individuals and communities can take practical action. The event aims to encourage informed conversations and strengthen community understanding of the climate and nature emergency.
The Uttoxeter screening is being organised in partnership with the Uttoxeter United Reformed Church, Support Staffordshire’s Green Network, and Uttoxeter Rotary, with further support from Live and Local.
