Treasurer Needed at Codsall Village Hall

How are you with numbers and keeping records? Do you have a few spare hours a week? The Codsall Village Hall team are in need of a friendly and enthusiastic volunteer to join them as Treasurer – could that be you?

This is a key role for someone who cares about supporting one of the village’s favourite gathering places.
Meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of each month and last approximately 2 hours.

As Treasurer, you’ll be an important part of the Management Committee, helping to keep the Village Hall’s finances in order and will be well supported by the team.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Recording payments from customers and making sure the online accounts are up to date.
  • Paying invoices to tradespeople and suppliers.
  • Sharing financial updates at the monthly Committee meetings.
  • Preparing information for the annual audit.
  • Keeping track of yearly income and expenses.
  • Generating staff payroll.

This is a voluntary role, but expenses (such as postage) will be covered. The Committee have recently moved to more digital and paperless accounting methods using the XERO system, and will be happy to support you as you learn the system if you’re not already familiar with it.

Do you think that you would be able to help? The Committee would love to welcome someone who has fresh ideas and the know-how to help them to move forward.

Further details about the role can be found here Treasurer Role where you can apply direct, or you’re welcome to contact the Village Hall team directly on contact@codsallvillagehall.co.uk
