We are absolutely amazed and humbled that there are LOTS of lovely people who want to find a volunteering role out there, despite the national downturn in volunteering figures over recent years (well, of course there are – this is the mighty Staffordshire after all!!). Over the past year, the number of people coming to Support Staffordshire to find a volunteering placement has nearly doubled, and the Volunteering Team are busy placing people within the wonderful organisations that operate within Staffordshire.
If you’re thinking of volunteering, but not made the leap yet, it’s really easy to register with us for free via our website here Volunteers – Support Staffordshire where you can view the roles available in your area and apply direct. Once you’re registered, your nearest Volunteering Team member will be in touch with you to see how they can help, and before you know it, you’ll hopefully be enjoying supporting one of the fantastic local groups close to you!
This wonderful increase in volunteers does mean that the Volunteering Team are busier than ever and we would love some volunteers to help us to continue to grow volunteering throughout Staffordshire. If you’re great at chatting to people, love knowing what’s going on in your local area, and great at supporting people through decisions, then volunteering with Support Staffordshire’s Volunteering Team could be perfect for you! We need extra support throughout the county – you can look at the roles available via the links below, or get in touch with us directly on volunteering@supportstaffordshire.org.uk
We look forward to meeting you and helping you to find your ideal volunteering role soon!
